Matador is seeking an Air Quality Specialist with a minimum of five years’ oil and gas environmental experience. This position will focus on oil and gas facility air permitting, compliance and reporting activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Responsibilities:
Maintain a current working knowledge of applicable state and federal environmental rules and regulations for the oil and gas industry
Responsible for air permit, compliance, and reporting activities to comply with federal and state requirements (New Mexico experience preferred)
Develop emissions calculation tools based on standard industry practices and emissions modeling software
Manage air compliance program such as LDAR, engine testing, tank pressure monitoring, flare pilot monitoring and VRU runtime monitoring
Build and maintain strong working relationships with engineering and operations teams
Assist in the implementation of corrective actions plans for resolutions of non-compliance findings

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
5+ years of related experience
Knowledge of federal and state air quality regulations (e.g Subpart C and W, NSPS, NESHAP, NM GCP and Ozone Precursor Rule)
Strong organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
Database administrative skill
Prior experience reporting to EPA and NMED
Experience with P2-Merrick production accounting system
