Air Quality Professional

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

  • Generate annual emissions reports such as state emissions inventories, greenhouse gas reports, and Toxics Release Inventory reports, as well as other periodic compliance reports.
  • Prepare state and federal air permit applications, including emission inventories, synthetic minor strategies, and related technical documents.
  • Perform accurate technical calculations and deliver clear written communication for project deliverables.
  • Conduct regulatory research and provide clients with insightful interpretations.
  • Engage with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct audits of regulatory compliance and management systems at both plant and corporate levels.
  • Stay current with existing regulations and continually review new and proposed regulations relevant to clients.
  • Apply technical expertise to assist facilities with federal, state, and local air quality permitting and compliance requirements.

Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Meteorology, Environmental Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of direct experience in air quality permitting and compliance.
  • Additional experience in PSD/NSR permitting and procedures and multi-media permitting and compliance efforts beyond air is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of state and federal air permitting and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing air quality permitting and compliance projects.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and implement complex air quality regulations.
  • Proficiency in air quality dispersion modeling programs and practices.
  • Knowledge of multi-media permitting and compliance efforts beyond air (RCRA, NPDES, SPCC).
  • Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
