About The Position
The Air Quality Planner will play an integral role in the daily operations of the company and contribute to its overall success. This position will support the Technical Services department.
The ideal candidate has 3-6 years' related experience including the development air quality, energy, greenhouse gas, and health risk assessment analyses. This candidate can work independently, demonstrates reliability, pro-activeness, and strong communication, and has a desire to learn or experience other technical disciplines including Noise and Transportation Planning.

Salary: $83000 - $95400 per year

This candidate can work independently, demonstrates reliability, pro-activeness, and strong communication, and has a desire to learn or experience other technical disciplines including Noise and Transportation Planning.
Responsibilities
The Air Quality Planner will perform the responsibilities generally described below, as well as any additional duties as needed to support the overall objectives of the company:
- Assist with the preparation of air quality, energy, greenhouse gas, and health risk assessments
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure accuracy of the data utilized for the preparation of technical reports
- Write proposals and assist with the development of discipline-related marketing materials as needed
- Ensure assigned project deliverables are accurate and delivered within the required timeline
- Review and understand related traffic impact and CEQA/NEPA assessments as needed
- Uphold EPD core values in everyday interactions with internal and external partners
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 3-6 years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required
- Experience using air quality models including CalEEMod, EMFAC, AERMOD/AERSCREEN.
- Strong technical writing skills required.
- Experience with GIS required.
