GHD has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Air Quality Engineer in our West Region. The position will be located in Irvine, CA. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Collaborate with clients and colleagues meet to deadlines on unique and challenging projects.
Work in self-directed role on air quality projects spanning a variety of disciplines including: air quality permitting, dispersion modeling, emissions reporting, regulatory compliance, audits, and more.
Conduct air quality impact analysis with SCREEN3 and AERMOD.
Communicate complex regulatory issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams
Support air quality compliance management in multiple industries, including: chemical/petro-chem, refining, electrical utility, petroleum refining, and manufacturing.
What you will bring to the team:
B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Science or a related field; M.S. preferred.
2-5 years of air quality permitting, compliance and/or modeling experience; consulting experience preferred.
Knowledge of air quality rules, regulations and agency structure in CA and surrounding states.
Air dispersion modeling experience with SCREEN3 and AERMOD preferred.
Experience with initial applications, renewals and revisions for variety of permitting mechanisms, including, but not limited to: Title V, NSR, NNSR, PSD, GHG, Standard Permit, and Permits by Rule.
Ability to effectively communicate with other technical professionals, clients, and regulatory officials in person and in writing.
Proficiency in relevant software.

Salary Range: $74,980-$112,470 based on experience.
