Position Overview:

Local Infusion is seeking a talented and passionate AI Researcher to join our team. This role will report directly to our Head of Product and will focus on developing and implementing AI capabilities to enhance care coordination and patient engagement. You will play a key role in advancing our AI initiatives and ensuring the successful adoption and expansion of our AI products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development in AI and machine learning to solve complex problems in care coordination and patient engagement.
  • Design and implement AI models and algorithms to improve patient outcomes, streamline care processes, and enhance patient experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and clinicians, to integrate AI solutions into our existing and new products.
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets to derive actionable insights and develop predictive models.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technology to ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of innovation.
  • Present research findings, progress, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Contribute to the development of AI strategies and roadmaps in alignment with company goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in AI research and development, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
  • Experience with AI frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare data interoperability.
  • Knowledge of care coordination workflows and patient engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and data privacy standards in healthcare.
