Abilene High School is seeking applicants for our vacant assistant boys basketball coach. Job requirements include (but are not limited to) the following.
__Primarily serve as lead coach at the C team level for practices and games.
__Work in conjunction with the vision and structure establised by the head coach and athletic department.
__Sit bench for JV and varsity games and be a contributing member of a three person staff.
__Ability to develop transformational relationships with players that not only build basketball skills but alos develop life skills/personal attributes that help the player be successful away from the court.
__Ability to teach the X's and O's of the game along with coaching skills necessary to play the game of basketball.
__Perform all duties associated with game management (devising strategy, playing time, in game adjustements).
__Be a positive role model and strong representation of Abilene High School and community.
__Ability to work independently and develop own practice plans that maximize player development and involvement.
