Join our team at [Omitted] as an Instructor I in our Special Projects division. We're seeking dedicated professionals to assist in delivering specialized training and technical assistance within our Infrastructure Training & Safety Institute. This temporary position offers the opportunity to contribute to vital projects while providing valuable support to our community.
Responsibilities
As an Instructor I, you will work under direction to facilitate various specialty courses and projects within the Special Projects program. Your duties will include:
Assisting in training activities, both online and in-person, ensuring the effectiveness of course instruction.
Collaborating with the Special Projects team and customers to deliver training and support the development of emergency management plans.
Participating in the creation and updating of curriculum content to meet the evolving needs of learners.
Conducting vulnerability assessments and assisting in the development of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program compliant exercises.
Collaborating with other program areas to support plan development and exercises.
Providing programmatic support, including documentation, marketing, and logistical coordination.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Four years of Emergency Management Planning experience and/or Exercise development experience.
One year of adult education and/or training.
Valid motor vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Master Exercise Practitioner certification.
Five years of Emergency Management experience.
Certified Emergency Manager.
Experience in conducting Risk and Resiliency Assessments, Vulnerability Assessments, or Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (THIRA).
Skills And Abilities
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Demonstrated punctuality and reliability.
Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Proficiency in standard office equipment and technology.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
