We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to work on a variety of aerospace projects working remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Job Description:

* The Project Engineer will be responsible for leading and providing project level support (schedule, task assignment and tracking, task prioritization, communication with engineering and project leadership) for system/sub-system controls pertaining to aircraft systems.

* You will also be responsible for working with customer teams to coordinate work assignments between teams, driving teams to follow customer-developed schedules and assist in integration of multiple systems.

* Tasks could include ensuring teams adherence to industry development standards (such as DO-178 or DO-254), recommending process improvements, and driving prioritization of tasks.

* You shall have strong background and familiarity with the Agile software development methodology and Atlassian tools.

* Qualified candidate should have knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop / software-in-the-loop

techniques for controls definition and/or verification and validation and associated documentation.

Job Requirements

* A bachelor's in engineering with at least 5 - 7 years or Master in Engineering with at least 3 - 5 years of experience with control systems is highly desirable.

* Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is required.

* Computer Science, or Engineering degree in Software, Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical

* The candidate shall be knowledgeable in DO-178 methodologies, well versed in Agile software development, and experienced in driving large teams.

* You should have experience leading and running scrum teams, scheduling and delegating tasks to the team, prioritizing needs from the team and management

* Knowledge of DOORS Next Generation or JAMA (or an associated requirements management tool) is required.

Experience with aircraft applications is a plus. Experience with programming languages is a plus.


We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $80,000 to $140,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
