Advancement Communication Coordinator

Coe College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Advancement Communications Coordinator. This position supports the goals of the Coe College Advancement Office and is the department’s primary communications liaison. He/she is responsible for the scheduling, implementation and review of the overall Advancement communications plan and calendar. This position will work closely with all members of the Advancement Office to develop and implement content strategies with the goal of sharing and celebrating the “Coe Makes It Happen” stories with external audiences across all platforms and channels.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development cycle for all Advancement communication materials with the purpose of ensuring appropriate integration and timing of messaging across all media.
  • Document and maintain the annual Advancement communications calendar.
  • Serve as the liaison to Marketing for communication and design projects, from initial idea to final product.
  • Develop content plan, gather information, draft articles/profiles for distribution of monthly e-newsletter, and provide follow-up tracking/reporting.
  • Write, with discretion over content and editing, for the President, including internal campus updates, external letters and memos and other pieces as needed and requested
  • Manage the Coe Alumni social media networks, including maintaining a posting schedule in coordination with the overall college social media channels.
  • Produce or steer production of dynamic and engaging content that can be used in a variety of media, including print, video, website, email and social media.
  • Will work with Alumni Engagement and Annual Fund to proofread & edit contact as needed.
  • Develop landing pages and microsites as needed.
  • Help build a collection of stories of alumni, students, faculty and staff.
  • Support events and programs as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • A minimum of 2–4 years of communications/writing, project management or related experience.
  • Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft applications, with a working knowledge of social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States as visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
  • Successful completion of a background check in accordance with Coe College policy.
