Description

Adult Education Teacher - English Language Learning. Weekly schedule is Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with prep hours included. This position is located at Prior Lake High School in Prior Lake, with a specific area for teaching during the evenings.

Job Summary

Provide instruction to adult learners in the core content areas as defined by the state of Minnesota, and specifically English Language to non-native populations. Responsibilities include lesson planning and instruction, conducting ongoing assessment, monitoring student attendance, collaborating with other staff, and keeping student records.

Qualifications

• Experience working with multicultural populations and English language learners preferred.
• Minnesota Teaching License in English Language Learners K-12 preferred.
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
• Proficient and effective computer skills.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to build successful relationships with students and staff.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.
