Job Summary
The Admissions Specialist conducts the cultivation, evaluation, and admissions processes for students at AHU. The Admissions Specialist makes sure these processes run smoothly and efficiently for leads, applicants, current students, department chairs, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders. The Admissions Specialist is charged with upholding policy and procedure set by the Admissions Department, University, and its committees. The Admissions Specialist actively exemplifies outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
You Will Be Responsible For
Demonstrates behaviors at AdventHealth University in harmony with the “Four Words” Nurture, Excellence, Spirituality, and Stewardship
Responsible for efficient execution of the cultivation, evaluation, and admissions processes for students at AHU
Own and document the communication process (email, text, phone) in the CRM for lead, applicant, and admission cultivation, using best practices for the frequency, accuracy, and tone of information shared
Collaborate with the Data Processing Specialists to ensure timely turnaround of document processing to complete applicant files
Coordinate with the Student Experience Managers to ensure a smooth transition for accepted students
Regularly reports to the Director of Admissions on the status of meeting established benchmarks and KPIs
Collaborate with the Financial Services, Student Experience, and the Office of the Registrar teams to ensure a smooth student journey
Qualifications
What Will You Need
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associate Degree in Business, Psychology, or other related field
Must possess a general knowledge of the higher education admissions processes and customer service and communication strategies
Professional oral and written communication skills
Ability to take initiative and present ideas for improving processes and service
