Admissions Counselor

Description

The Admissions Counselor will assist the Senior Admissions Counselor with all admission processes for the College Experience and CareerNext programs. Duties include but are not limited to, giving program tours, assisting with open houses, tracking OPWDD documentation for Medicaid admissions, traveling to recruitment fairs and transition events, speaking with prospective students, families and professionals in the field regarding program information, developing monthly newsletters and social media posts, assisting in the College Experience and CareerNext classroom when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, or communications or related field preferred or 10 years experience in a role that interfaces with the public
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience and comfortable with public speaking (in-person and zoom platforms)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule, reliable transportation and ability to travel
  • Knowledge of OPWDD documentation and regulations & College accommodation laws, preferred
