GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

The Admissions & Enrollment Navigator assists with coordination and management of the admissions and enrollment funnels with the goal to increase application and enrollment rates.

Essential Functions

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates and manages admissions and enrollment funnel campaigns.
  • Plans, develops, and delivers Middlesex College presentations to large and small groups of high school students, community groups, and local businesses. Provides detailed information about enrolling at Middlesex College as well as options to pay for college, including scholarships, the Community College Opportunity Grant, and other financial aid programs.
  • Assists prospective students through the onboarding Admissions and Enrollment funnel by performing cross-departmental enrollment processing.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Middlesex College's academic, social, and extra-curricular, and communicates this information to prospective students.
  • Provides in-person and electronic academic advising assistance during the onboarding process for new students.
  • Maintains a steady flow of communication via e-mail, traditional mail, social media, phone calls, and text messages with prospective students and applicants in order to assist students through the onboarding and enrollment funnel.
  • Meets or exceeds weekly, quarterly, and yearly activity and recruitment and enrollment goals within assigned recruitment territories.
  • Initiates, plans, and executes special projects in conjunction with the goals and objectives of the department.
  • Completes routine reports related to recruitment, projections, conversions, travel, and special programs.
  • Assists with the coordination of part-time employees.
  • Maintains up-to-date records on inquiries and applicants via the admissions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
  • Attends Admissions team staff meetings and prepares to report on management tasks that were previously assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • Two (2) years of customer service experience;
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record;
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Excellent work ethic with a can-do attitude, a knack for creative problem solving, and an attitude of positivity; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Admissions or recruitment experience;
  • Two (2) years of higher education experience;
  • Working knowledge of Ellucian Colleague and CRM Recruit or comparable ERP and CRM systems; and
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Physical Requirements

The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:

  • Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
  • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Handling: Picking, holding, or otherwise working, primarily with the whole hand
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination in sound.
  • Mental Acuity: Ability to make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes.
  • Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Speaking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word including the ability to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately and concisely.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word including those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Visual Acuity: Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading.
  • Visual Acuity 2: Including color, depth perception, and field vision.
  • Visual Acuity 3: Visual Acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

The successful applicant will be cross trained in enrollment processes for other student populations and cover appointments as needed.

SCHEDULE : Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with the ability to meet flexible work schedule requirements that include days, evenings, and weekend hours in accordance with scheduled recruitment activities.

May require occasional travel to assigned recruitment territories.
