About the Company:
The US Department of Veterans Affairs Office of General Counsel-Information and Administrative Law Group (IALG) is looking for Administrative Law Attorneys committed to public service to join their team.
IALG ensures timely and complete analysis and legally appropriate release of information, whether to Congress, Veterans, courts, or the public, improves trust in VA, which benefits Veterans.
IALG areas of focus: Information Disclosure (Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Title 38), eDiscovery, Touhy, Information Management, Information Security & Technology, Federal Advisory Committee Act (closed meeting issues), Copyright & Trademarks, Appropriations, Law Enforcement, and Legislative Counsel.
About the Role:
Administrative Law Attorney
GS 11/12 DOE
Location (Hybrid): May be required to report to nearest VA-OGC office as needed.
Preferred Experience:
-Advising on matters related to the Federal Advisory Committee Act
-Federal Law Enforcement
-Federal Appropriations/Fiscal matters
-JAG
Minimum requirements:
-United States Citizen
-Juris Doctorate
-Unrestricted license to practice law in any State
