- Schedules and coordinates as-needed meeting and special events.
- Works as project coordinator for complex events and projects as required.
- Provides administrative support for many unique, routine and/or special requests.
- Prepares presentation materials for internal and external speaking engagements. Experience: Prior experience in clerical or secretarial positions is required; experience in human resources is desired. Prior experience demonstrating leadership skills and ability to handle confidential information is also required. Successful performance in a secretarial position supporting more than one position simultaneously is desired. Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of standard office systems, equipment, processes and procedures is required. Knowledge of using word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software is required; experience with Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Skills: The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing (using proper spelling, grammar and punctuation) is required. Must have strong organizational skills and ability to balance numerous priorities; be detail oriented, self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Must also demonstrate skills in developing office procedures. Must type 45 wpm. Able to deal appropriately with confidential or sensitive information, and to demonstrate diplomacy, tact and a high level of professionalism. Ability to exercise discretion, initiative, and good judgment in coordinating and performing work assigned. Ability to deal with the general public and others in a tactful, courteous and effective manner and to establish and maintain cooperative work relationships. Ability to compile, organize, summarize, prepare in text or graphic form and proofread data from a variety of sources. Access to Protected Health Information: This position does not have access to protected health information.
