Imperative is seeking candidates with administrative talent to serve as a Cleared Administrative Assistant in the Project Coordination Cadre supporting our work on the Overseas Security Installation Services program . This position is based out of our Kingstowne/Alexandria, Virginia, office. Project Coordinators assist Project Managers and project teams in managing resources and information, assist with scheduling and planning meetings and other project activities. Candidates must be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. This position will serve as an administrative assistant to the government representative overseeing important work that bears on U.S. government missions in high risk, austere, and fast paced environments. In addition to the core functions below, this individual will be expected to keep the client's calendar, attend and take notes in client meetings, and facilitate the government representative's efficient and effective accomplishment of his/her position objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following core job functions:

  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, budgets and expenditures.
  • Organizing, attending and participating in meetings.
  • Documenting and follow up on important actions and decisions.
  • Preparing necessary materials as requested.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • Undertake project tasks as assigned by Project Managers.

This position will likely entail performing additional miscellaneous tasks and functions, with the overall objective of enabling work done around the world in various locations and circumstances.

Requirements

Citizenship/Passport/Security Clearance: The candidate must be a US citizen and have a minimum of a SECRET level clearance, with an active TOP SECRET Clearance strongly desired for this position.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to comprehend project plans and complex construction related schedules.
  • Ability to review construction-related bills of materials.
  • Ability to perform data entry into purchase requisition system.
  • Ability to track and report on the status of material requisitions.
  • Ability to track and report on the status of shipments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to monitor and report on construction project schedules.
  • Ability to complete required reporting, presentations and project documentation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated high level of professional comportment.
  • High degree of discretion.
  • Ability to take accurate notes of meeting conversations and provide timely written reports of such to relevant personnel upon request.
  • Attention to administrative detail.
