The Sony Feature Casting department overseas all aspects of casting for Columbia, Tri Star, Screen Gems and Animation.
Provide full range of administrative support for SVP and team including handling phones, calendar, expenses, drafting and handling correspondence, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
Job Description
Word processing (composing and generating emails)
Handling heavy phone volume
Distributing and following-up on documents
Updating databases and lists
Scheduling and preparing for meetings and managing calendar
Processing expense reports
Reading and creating character breakdowns from scripts
Managing document flow, including creating and maintaining files (electronic and hard copy)
Checking availability of actors, keeping current lists as dates change
Scheduling audition appointments, both pre-read and producer/director sessions
Researching up and coming actors, pulling clips to present to studio executives
Other general administrative duties (processing mail, copying, etc.)
Miscellaneous duties as required
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience as a casting assistant
1-2 years experience as an administrative assistant
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, iMovie a plus)
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
Must be detail-oriented
Must be up-to-date on popular and current talent and content
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize to ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
Must be able to meet deadlines
Must be flexible – an ability to work well in an environment where needs and priorities are subject to much revision
Common sense, dependability, discretion and attention to detail are required
Must be a self-starter with a team-player attitude
Excellent communication skills – written and oral (must have a professional and courteous demeanor)
The anticipated base salary for this position is $63,232 to $79,040. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
