The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to take initiative and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this multi-faceted role.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Managing Partner with all aspects of recruiting and business development
  • Prepare and process retention agreements and correspondence
  • Maintain business development contacts database
  • Extensive correspondence and coordination with recruiters
  • Track candidate submissions and coordinate all aspects of the interview process
  • Plan and facilitate firm events, seminars, etc.
  • Time entry in ProLaw and processing expense reports
  • Make travel arrangements and lunch/dinner reservations
  • Coordinate meetings, provide reception backup, and assist the Office Services team as needed
  • Provide additional administrative support and work on special projects, as directed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of law firm experience
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Strong reasoning, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, take direction from multiple individuals, and effectively manage competing deadlines
  • Experience with ProLaw or comparable billing software
  • Strong proofreading skills and strong typing skills, both speed and accuracy
  • Work overtime as needed to meet position requirements, responsibilities, and deadlines
  • Ability and affinity for working in teams, adapting to various personalities and work styles, and successfully producing in that environment
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with vendors and outside contacts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (with particular proficiency in Excel)
