We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us in teaching Communication Arts online. Under the guidance of the Director of UC Online and the Chair of Communication Arts, this role involves delivering engaging courses that align with our university's mission of providing high-quality academic programs rooted in Christian values to students from diverse backgrounds.
Collaborate closely with colleagues in the UC Online and Communication Arts departments, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
Adapt and enhance course materials using departmental syllabus templates, prescribed texts, and additional resources to ensure engaging learning experiences.
Provide constructive feedback to students in a timely manner, supporting their growth and development.
Maintain regular communication with students through virtual office hours and email.
Keep accurate records using iLearn (Blackboard) and UC One (Banner) platforms.
Contribute to department-wide assessments and respond to student evaluations.
Adhere to university policies and procedures.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching and ongoing professional development.
Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving abilities.
Interest in and understanding of diverse cultures and communities.
Experience teaching Communications courses in an online environment.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Communications or a related field.
Experience developing online courses in Communication Arts or a related area.
Relevant certifications in specific coursework (e.g., Social Media).
Proficiency in Blackboard.
Familiarity with various educational delivery methods, both pedagogical and technological.
