CLASSIFICATION: Adjunct Professor of English

REPORTS TO: Chair of the Department of Humanities

LOCATION: Lakeland, Florida (on site)

Position Summary

Southeastern University invites applications and nominations for an Adjunct Professor qualified to teach undergraduate courses in Composition. Candidates with a terminal degree are preferred. Adjunct positions are part-time instructional positions, with classes assigned term-to-term on an as-needed basis.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Teach English Composition I and/or English Composition II

Preferred Qualifications

Earned PhD in English with a focus on Composition

Experience teaching Composition at the collegiate level

Essential Qualifications

Earned MA in English

Excellent oral and written language skills

Outstanding Christian character

Positive recommendations from previous employers

Evidence of successful experience teaching and mentoring at the collegiate level

Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
