Position Title: Adjunct Professor of Cultural Studies

Course Schedule:

Tuesdays, 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Starting from July 2nd for 11 weeks

Compensation:

$2000 - $2500 per course per quarter

Position Overview:

Pacific States University is seeking a qualified and passionate Adjunct Professor of Cultural Studies to teach an 11-week World Cultures course with a focus on the entertainment industry. The course will explore the intersection of global cultures and the entertainment industry, examining how film, music, television, and other media reflect and shape cultural identities.

• Deliver engaging lectures based on the course syllabus in the following link.

• Facilitate interactive class discussions to encourage critical thinking and diverse perspectives.
• Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams.
• Provide feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
• Organize and lead a field trip to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
• Collaborate with university staff to ensure a positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in Cultural Studies or a related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong background in cultural studies and familiarity with the entertainment industry.
• Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
