ADJUNCT IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY
The Department of Psychology at Bridgewater College invites applications from candidates with expertise in neuroscience for an adjunct position that will begin in August 2024. Candidates who can teach courses such as our Neuroanatomy and Neuroscience Methods are especially welcome to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of an MS in psychology, neuroscience or closely related field is required but a PhD in these fields is preferred.
MISSION: Bridgewater College is a residential liberal arts college of about 1600 students with a vibrant core curriculum and a growing focus on undergraduate research. The College emphasizes creativity and innovation in pedagogy and research. Successful faculty members are dedicated to advising and mentoring students, contributing to campus-wide faculty initiatives, and maintaining an active research agenda. GENERAL INFORMATION: Bridgewater College was founded in 1880 as a coeducational liberal arts college to serve the local community. Located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley, just minutes outside of Harrisonburg and within driving distance of Charlottesville, Washington D.C., and Richmond, Bridgewater is home to approximately 1,400 full-time students from 26 states and 19 countries. Bridgewater students study across 60 majors and minors, in addition to four graduate programs and 10 pre-professional programs. Bridgewater College is an NCAA DIII school with approximately 40 percent of its students participating in intercollegiate athletics on 24 teams.
