The Department of Psychological Science is seeking adjunct instructors to teach in-person classes including Introduction to Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychopharmacology, Psychological Disorders, and/or specialized topics related to a candidate’s areas of expertise beginning in August 2024. Teaching takes place in our innovative Take2 curricular model where courses are offered in two 7-week sessions each semester. The department is seeking instructors with a strong commitment to teaching excellence who can teach one or two courses per semester. A MA or Ph.D. in psychology and teaching experience at the undergraduate level is required.

Ability to design and deliver engaging and interactive lessons, facilitate discussions, and employ various teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning abilities.
Proficiency in developing and implementing fair and appropriate assessment tools, grading criteria, and providing constructive feedback to support student learning.
Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, manage classroom dynamics, and address student concerns effectively.
