JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Lehigh Valley, Academic Affairs has a need for a highly qualified part-time faculty to teach a variety of courses in Biology, including Anatomy and Physiology lecture and laboratory and General Biology lecture and laboratory. The ideal candidates should be open to offering flexibility in course scheduling and methods of course delivery.

The selected candidate(s) will teach an A&P course(s) consisting of dual enrolled seniors that are part of the prestigious LCTI Emerging Health program. Each class holds 20 students and operates on a Monday and Wednesday schedule from both 8-11 and 12-3. This program allows for students to gain a head start in their college endeavors while exploring opportunities within the healthcare industry and intertwining their college and shadowing learning experiences.

Requirements include the minimum of an earned Master's degree in Biology or a closely-related field, with a PhD preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.

This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances:

  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
  • FBI Criminal Background Check
