Salem State University is seeking adjunct professors with interest and experience teaching face-to-face, hybrid, and online graduate-level courses within the higher education in student affairs (HESA) MEd program. Teaching assignments may include introduction to the student affairs profession, history of higher education, college student development, administration and organization in higher education, student affairs research, assessment and evaluation student affairs, helping skills, multicultural issues in student affairs, practicum, higher education law and risk management, higher education finance, and special topics seminars.
- Earned doctorate or ABD from a regionally accredited institution in higher education, student affairs or a closely related discipline with application in postsecondary organizational contexts.
- A demonstrated record of, or potential for, effective teaching at the graduate level in one or more of the following instructional formats face-to-face, hybrid, online.
- Professional experience working in higher education administration/student affairs.
- Experience in and commitment to teaching and mentoring in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic environment with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Experience mentoring students to achieve career goals.
- Active engagement and current membership with higher education/student affairs professional associations at the state, regional and/or national level.

- Adjunct positions are temporary for one semester only, with a possibility for re-hire. All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Adjunct positions are not eligible for H1B Visa sponsorship
