ADJUNCT FACULTY
Adjunct Professor: Communications
Felician University is currently seeking an adjunct Communications faculty member to join an energetic campus community and distinguished School of Arts & Sciences faculty whose excellence is reflected in our university’s mission, diversity, and commitment to student success. We are seeking a faculty member with expertise in journalism and media production to teach courses in introductory and investigative journalism and digital media production. Specifically editorial writing and interviewing regarding standards, practices, and historical cases involving media, multiple modes of digital media including visual communication (photo / video production and editing, presentation design), and sound production in the form of podcasts. The selected candidate will have familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Successful candidates will be expected to provide the knowledge and skills students need to pursue careers in Communications and be actively involved in scholarly work.
Candidates for appointment to the rank of Adjunct must have an M.A. in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies or associated fields or a related field of expertise, along with demonstrated teaching excellence. Successful candidates may teach up to six credit-hours (2 courses) per semester. Review of candidate materials will begin immediately. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
