Job Highlights
As an adjunct instructor in English & Humanities, your instructional responsibilities will involve teaching in-person, remote, and online first-year Composition, Dual-Credit, and Co-Req courses as needed. There is a possibility that you may also teach literature, technical writing, or humanities, as needed. You will work both individually and in collaboration with colleagues to develop innovative curricula that meet the needs of our diverse student population. Student retention and success will be your top priorities. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to enhance students' critical thinking skills. Classes may be assigned on the main campus or at one of the local high schools.
Please note: This is a face-to-face Adjunct Instructor position.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in English, Writing, Literature (any), or Composition & Rhetoric; or
Master's Degree with eighteen graduate-level credit hours in any of the above disciplines, from a regionally accredited college/university.
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of recent experience teaching college-level Composition, Dual Credit, and Co-Req courses.
Experience using LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.).
Experience teaching online.
