Prosperity is hiring an Actuarial Analyst who will contribute to the Company’s M&A and reinsurance endeavors. This is a highly visible role within an extremely active Corporate Development group that reports directly to the Office of CEO. The individual reports to the Director, M&A and Reinsurance Actuary and would play an integral role in conducting actuarial analyses and due diligence on transactions as well as supporting existing deal management and flow business pricing. He/she will also partner with finance, actuarial, investments and other functional groups to analyze various projects .

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary actuarial due diligence on financial and actuarial data for active transactions, including policy statistics, product features, risk profile, etc.
  • Develop and maintain earnings actual-to-expected analysis and other metrics to monitor performance of existing deals
  • Support flow business pricing analysis by updating actuarial projections and sensitivity assessments in MG-ALFA, while managing production data
  • Assist in constructing statutory cash flow models for M&A and reinsurance transactions
  • Drive the actuarial due diligence process, treaty negotiations and related activities by managing due diligence requests, liaising with external consultants and coordinating with other functional leads
  • Integrate actuarial cash flows from MG-ALFA into Excel-based transaction models and conduct analysis
  • Facilitate the seamless transition of deal models to the corporate actuarial valuation and Embedded Value team following transaction closure

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
  • Completion of 2-3 SOA actuarial exams, with progress towards ASA designation
  • 0-2 years of experience in actuarial or a related discipline, preferably within the life insurance sector
  • Demonstrated fundamental knowledge of actuarial principles, concepts, practices, and processes; basic financial knowledge is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suites; familiarity with programming language is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a face-paced environment
  • Organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to deliver timely and high-quality work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration across teams
