Acquisition Analyst
Job Description: Provides pre- and post-award support activities to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develops Acquisition Plans and other procurement justifications and approval documentation in accordance with the FAA requirements including:
- - Source Selection Plans, including development of evaluation criteria
- - Screening Information Requests (SIRs)
- - Contract line-item structures
- - Statements of Work
- - Task statements
- - Contract modifications
- - Contract correspondence
- - Independent Government Cost Estimates and Spend Plans
- Applies knowledge of FAA acquisition processes, and analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate information required by program or project managers and customers. Draws conclusions and devises acquisitions strategies and solutions to problems relating to improvement of acquisition effectiveness and compliance.
Qualified applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- 10 -15 Years with at least 3 years in performing the responsibilities functions with respect to FAA programs/projects
- Knowledge of and experience with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) lifecycle processes and artifacts is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of contract process/procedures, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) procurement regulations
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Project is a plus
- Experience working with PMs, Directors, and SMEs from diversified technical, functional, business, and cultural backgrounds
- Must be proactive and able to function independently on a daily basis
- Strong organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to multi-task; be a team player who can interact with both executives and peers
- Ability to work under deadline pressure
- Ability to satisfy FAA resume approval processes
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in any field
Travel
- Limited travel may be required
