The primary responsibility of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor is to oversee the daily responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialists. It involves organizing, monitoring, and reporting on daily collection efforts. The Supervisor interviews, trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplines staff. It also involves reviewing and creating accurate reporting to monitor collection activity and outstanding balances. The Supervisor also maintains, monitors, and educates on the credit Insurance program through daily updates, reporting, document analysis, and education sessions. The supervisor collaboratively works with the credit insurance provider and insurance broker to work through policy needs and claims.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages seven Accounts Receivable Specialists (questions & issues).
  • Conducts random monthly account audits.
  • Conducts staff meetings.
  • Writes and administers performance appraisals.
  • Manages schedules for team members.
  • Interviews candidates and trains new hires.
  • Manages employee development including coaching, disciplinary action, and ensuring employee conduct is followed.


Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Answers and resolves incoming phone calls from Owners (credit insurance, collections).
  • Processes monthly billing (Named insurance, credit reports).
  • Manages credit reports (pull and summarize results).
  • Updates and participate in monthly Total Due reports and meetings (credit insurance).
  • Manages the credit insurance claim process (documents, file, monitor, and update).
  • Presents Collections & Credit Insurance for new Owner orientation.
  • Compiles and creates weekly AR Aging Report.
  • Compiles daily AR Aging (compiles and summarizes collection activity).
  • Compiles daily credit insurance summary (owner & manager).
  • Compiles $10k balance report. Manages AR write-off’s (review collection notes & processes).
  • Compile the Weekly Activity Report
