Why Is This Role So Special?

The Accounts Receivable Manager will play a crucial role in the finance function, leading a small team and maintaining the company’s contract-to-cash billing system. Responsibilities include overseeing the accounts receivable and collections process, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline revenue accounting procedures.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable and Collections team.
  • Administer and manage Contract to Cash (HCP's subscription management system), ensuring accurate and timely collections and reporting of revenue and AR KPIs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 standards.
  • Oversee the commission accounting processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and GAAP requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline revenue accounting procedures, including Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Rev Ops teams.
  • Oversee collections efforts to maintain DSOs within company standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls over the revenue accounting process.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports related to revenue.
  • Able to work in our Tampa, FL office, Monday-Friday.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a SAAS environment.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with sales tax applicable to the software industry.
  • Experience leading a revenue accounting function in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and its application in revenue accounting.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Experience with Zuora and Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
