ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER

Based in our NYC Corporate Office (not remote)

Accounts payable manager is responsible for accurately monitoring and executing of all AP functions for all third party external and intercompany accounts. Ensuring proper vendor documentation and reviewing invoices for proper approval and timely submission for payment to the treasury department. Also Accounts payable manager is responsible for training and development of two Accounts Payable Associates within the team.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

• Supervise the maintenance of AP/Invoices mailboxes to ensure all incoming invoices and inquiries are addressed and resolved by staff promptly.
• Supervise/control all AP entries by internal and outsourced staff to ensure booking within a 48 hrs. time limit. All invoices inclusive, travel, Operating, HR, Loss prevention, travel etc.
• Ensure that all invoices received by the company and booked by internal and outsourced staff meet all compliance and Tax requirements by country (USA, Puerto Rico, Canada).
• To book custom duties files received from the Brokers and reconcile duties liabilities in all the companies with payments booked by treasury.
• Review payment file from SFI and compare with accounting system to ensure proper open invoice data is being reflected.
• Review and process credit card expense and travel expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Check the ageing of the advance on travel expenses accounts between SAP and Concur and reconcile the travel advances accounts.
• Review and book accruals provided by departments.
• Assist the Accounting manager and Chief accountant in the month-end analytical reviews for the assigned cost accounts.
• Monthly reporting and analysis: AP aging, duplicates report, reporting and preparation of internal controls, follow-up with departments the list of invoices pending to be approved etc.
• Provide support for internal and external audit-related deliverables as needed.
• Ensure supervision, training, and development of the two Accounts Payable Associates.
• Lead corporate and local accounting projects within the Accounts Payable team.

PERSONAL PROFILE:

• BA in Accounting/Business Administration.
• Min 4 years’ experience AP.
• SAP experience will be a plus.
• Audit experience preferrable.
• Excellent strategic planning skills and ability to interact with all levels.
• Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
• US GAAP / IFRS.
• Strong MS Office and MS Excel skills.
• Fluent in English (Spanish will be a plus).

Annual compensation range: $86,000 - $103,000 + discretionary annual bonus
