Accounts Payable Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
• Oversee the processing of a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
• Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any payment issues or discrepancies
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable payment terms
• Monitor and analyze accounts payable metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Develop and maintain AP policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
• Prepare month-end close reports and assist with financial reporting as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure accurate coding and allocation of expenses
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 7+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet tight deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
• Experience implementing process improvements and optimizing AP workflows is a plus
