What you'll do:
As Accounts Payable Accountant, you will be a member of the Finance team and will own the accounts payable process and accounting records.
Ownership of accounts payable process:
- Perform daily accounts payable process for U.S. based AP, including the following:
- Circulate invoices throughout the Company for approval
- Prepare invoices for data entry and enter invoices into the system in accordance with Company financial policies and procedures
- Maintain and analyze accountspayable aging report to ensure timely payment of invoices
- Manage payment proposals and check runs
- Provide invoice processing support within portfolio as needed
- Maintain relationships with vendors and maintain vendor master recordsin accounting system
- Process and review employee expense reportsto ensure compliancewith Companypolicies
- Record related accruals and prepaid expenses
- Assist with external audit requests
- Prepare management reports and ad-hoc accounting requests
Maintenance of accounting records:
- Maintain related accounting records for certain asset and liability accounts
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures
- Prepare annual 1099 forms
About you:
You can fit a couple different profiles- you can have a BA at least a substantial AP internship or co-op behind you and be looking to get in the door with your AP experience, then learn and grow into a variety of areas within accounting and finance, or you could be a career AP professional looking for a stable position where you can own the AP function longer term.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (GPA of 3.5 or higher ideal)
- 2-3years of experience preferred (open to substantial AP internship or 1+ years experience if education background is solid)
- Financial Services industry background a plus
- Experience with SAP and Concur a plus
