Accounts Officer

Guardian Bandsaw is the US subsidiary of New Zealand based KANDO Innovation. We design and manufacture the world’s safest vision-based bandsaw equipment systems to reduce the most serious injuries at meat + industrial processing plants. Our equipment is used by the largest global meat processors in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Since the installation of our first bandsaw in North America in 2017 Guardian has expanded rapidly and opened a branch in Omaha 2 years ago.

Due to this expansion, we are looking for an Accounts professional to join our team to champion our accounts and inventory management for our busy Guardian Bandsaws operation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a role with continual growth and with a team across North America and New Zealand who values their employees.

The Role

• Upload and process invoices from Fishbowl to Xero.
• Expense support for services team.
• Improve management of stock in XERO and in the warehouse including ensuring oldest stock is used first.
• Arrange and carry out cycle counts weekly.
• Perform bank reconciliation and reconcile checks.
• Expense and credit card reconciliation.
• Provide general business support where required.
• Process Fishbowl journal entries in Xero.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate

• At least 2 years of accounting experience or degree in accounting.
• Demonstrated accounts receivable/payable experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Have an accountant mindset to keep confidential information private.
• Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills both written and verbal.
• A people person with a positive cheerful “KANDO” attitude.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Be a proactive problem solver that isn’t afraid to get stuck into different tasks.
• Have a desire to learn about the business and grow with the team in Omaha.
