The Accounting Specialist is a direct-hire position working in the HGA corporate office in Ruston, LA.

Accounting Specialist Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist with entering vendor invoices and vouchers
  • Filing, scanning, and collecting deadline driven information
  • Support Accounts Payable department with payment processing
  • Assist with data entry and generating financial reports
  • Maintain and upload supporting documentation for financial transactions
  • Provide general accounting and clerical support
  • Perform various administrative duties, including front desk backup
  • Complete special projects or other duties as assigned

Qualifications:ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma required
  • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience working in a corporate environment is required
  • Experience with creating spreadsheets and data analysis; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint needed
  • Experience in continuous process improvement, including automation desired
  • This position is a 100% in-office position located in Ruston, LA due to the need to file/scan documents, provide phone coverage, etc.
  • Candidates must be located within daily commuting distance of Ruston, LA
