The Accounting Specialist is a direct-hire position working in the HGA corporate office in Ruston, LA.

Accounting Specialist Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with entering vendor invoices and vouchers
- Filing, scanning, and collecting deadline driven information
- Support Accounts Payable department with payment processing
- Assist with data entry and generating financial reports
- Maintain and upload supporting documentation for financial transactions
- Provide general accounting and clerical support
- Perform various administrative duties, including front desk backup
- Complete special projects or other duties as assigned
- High school diploma required
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience working in a corporate environment is required
- Experience with creating spreadsheets and data analysis; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint needed
- Experience in continuous process improvement, including automation desired
- This position is a 100% in-office position located in Ruston, LA due to the need to file/scan documents, provide phone coverage, etc.
- Candidates must be located within daily commuting distance of Ruston, LA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and react promptly to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
- Detail-oriented, deadline driven, and self-motivated
- Ability to manage time and resources efficiently
- Capability and willingness to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Customer service and team player mindset
