LHH is partnered with a top tier financial crimes, and regulatory advisory firm that is seeking an Accounting Manager that will report directly to the Global Controller and will oversee a range of corporate accounting activities for the firm's US offices. We are seeking a highly motivated self-starter with a strong grasp of accounting principles and experience in general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Elite 3E and possess a thorough understanding of billing for time. Below is an outline of the key responsibilities for this role


Responsibilities

  • Conduct and review monthly bank reconciliations and account analyses as part of the month-end closing process.
  • Aid the Global Controller by supervising the accounts payable team, including validating voucher entries, ensuring pay run accuracy, and managing vendor onboarding.
  • Draft and review monthly journal entries.
  • Manage fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules, which includes calculating monthly depreciation and amortization and verifying monthly journal entries.
  • Help prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax returns, as well as excise and commercial rent tax filings.
  • Oversee certain treasury activities, such as monitoring daily cash balances.
  • Generate monthly reports for foreign accountants to ensure international compliance.
  • Assist in the annual financial statement audit process.
  • Prepare workpapers for external tax teams.
  • Compile quarterly unaudited financial statements.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and generate reports as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • At least five years of accounting experience in a professional services firm.
  • Familiarity with the Elite 3E accounting system is preferred.
  • CPA license is preferred.
  • Understanding of billing for time.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word at an intermediate level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
