We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join the team at our central office in Beaverton, Oregon. In this role, you will be r esponsible for handling the overall management and supervision of the accounting department and close processes. The Accounting Manager ensures that financial reporting is accurate and meets reporting deadlines. Establishes internal controls and guidelines for safeguarding assets and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Minimum five years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
• Minimum three years of management experience with a focus on employee development.
• Deep understanding of GAAP.
• An active CPA License is preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, complex calculations, and attention to formatting).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, effectively manage up and lead a team.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform preferred.
• Ability to perform under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and pivot among various tasks and priorities.
• Self-driven and interested in making an impact in a dynamic, values-based organization.
  
  

Essential Functions

• Oversee all key accounting functions – Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger Accounting and provide leadership and support to the team in these areas.
• Lead the accounting team to produce accurate, complete, and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end General Ledger close of the financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP and local laws and regulations.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to the team of Staff and Senior Accountants.
• Prepare a monthly fluctuations analysis report for the Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts with an investigation and explanation of significant balance variances.
• Review General Ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, and reports prepared by the team to support the consolidated financial statements. Build out new reconciliations and implement new processes as the company grows and accounting increases in complexity.
• Manage special projects for the Controller and CFO, including KPI development, process documentation, department goal setting, and team-building activities.
• Manage the annual audit by providing timely requested materials and support to the external auditors.
• Manage the annual tax returns and quarterly estimates by providing timely requested materials and support to CFO and income tax provider.
• Manage daily cash reporting and treasury functions for the organization, including wire transfers, ACH initiation and administration of employee authorization and account maintenance.
• Have a continuous improvement mindset seeking to streamline and automate processes leading the implementation of automation efforts and works with IT on dashboards and real-time data initiatives brought by CFO and Controller with the support of FP&A Analyst.
