A growing 22-year-old company in Austin seeks an Accounting Manager to work, lead, and manage in a values-based team environment.
The position pays $ 80K-$90K/yr., depending on experience, and offers a complete benefits package that includes paid vacation, plus eight paid holidays, eight sick days, 401K, medical/dental/vision, incentive perks, training, and certification course reimbursements.
Purpose of this position:
The Accounting Manager's purpose is to bring order and accuracy to our day-to-day accounting and administrative practices and processes to help the company Keep Score and steward its resources. You will be instrumental in setting up accurate month-end close, assisting with cash management, and establishing scalable and repeatable processes. Your day-to-day management of the accounting staff will be vital to maintaining our financial health. This position is full-time, located in Austin, TX, or Remote.
Responsibilities
Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable
Oversee the daily workflow of the accounting department
Manage day-to-day escalations for a small accounting team
QA team’s work as needed
Month End Close
Revenue Recognition
Daily Bank Reconciliation
GL / AR / AP
Follow accrual-based GAAP accounting standards
Draft monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Maintain prepaid and fixed asset amortization records
General Administration

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Previous experience with Acumatica is highly preferred
3-7 years of accounting experience (1-2 years owning the month-end close process; 1-2 years of revenue recognition)
Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
Knowledgeable about accrual-based GAAP accounting standards
Demonstrated track record of practical, proactive, and precise verbal and written communication
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
Ability to problem solve with the accounting team and with other departments
Strong project management skills and ability to work in a collaborative team setting
Solid critical thinking skills (e.g., ability to conceptually frame problems and to identify solutions)
