Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager, who is ready to bring their experience and values to the team. They will be an integral developer and implementer in building a dynamic team, efficient systems, and profitable results.

What You’ll Do:


  • Manage all accounting functions within the organization and develop, maintain, and improve accounting and financial procedures and processes in compliance with internal policies, U.S. GAAP and regulations
  • Supervise a small team, with a view to grow a high-caliber team in line with company growth
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly/yearly close process and financial statement released in compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Maintenance of the general ledger and the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements using QuickBooks
  • Maintains audit-ready books, which include daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations
  • Perform monthly close process including data entry, journal entries, reconciliations, and accrual analysis
  • Maintain fixed asset reporting and schedules
  • Ensure A/R, A/P, Inventory and Payroll processes are effective, efficient, and accurate
  • Manage cash and maintaining cash flow forecast
  • Participate in the budgeting process, and prepare the yearly financial forecast (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow)
  • Analyze financial statements produced each period to identify trends and variances
  • Prepare various management presentations, financial analyses, and special projects as assigned
  • Serves as an advisor to other staff members in the development and tracking of key performance measures
  • Responsible for local, state, and federal tax compliance and reporting including sales/use taxes and payroll taxes
  • Support in the due diligence and integration process of business acquisitions
  • When needed, especially while the team is growing; assist with supply ordering, inventory tasks, wholesale customer orders, and managing and troubleshooting issues with online orders.

Experience You Bring:


  • 10+ years of combined accounting and finance experience in positions with increasing responsibilities required. Preferred experience: a combination of small (<$10m) and large (>$100m) company experience.
  • Experience w/ multi-entity consolidated financial statements
  • Expert knowledge of running payroll, open enrollment, and benefits 
  • Demonstrated understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Excellent experience in technical accounting
  • Ideally managing a yearly audit process working with external auditors
  • Inventory, builds and Cost of Goods experience
  • M&A experience (due diligence and integration) a plus
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Self-starter: proven ability to identify issues and recommend solutions. Ability to create a collaborative work and team environment as well as work independently when needed.
  • Ability to appropriately delegate balanced by a lead-by-example management style
  • Strong computer skills, as well as knowledge of various accounting software packages including: QuickBooks (Online & Enterprise), Fishbowl Inventory management and third party payment processors
  • Experience w/ Sage, Oracle, NetSuite and other accounting systems a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills, including ability to design and maintain complex spreadsheets with formulas, pivot tables and vlookup.
  • Project management skills


Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000
