We are looking for an Accounting Manager who embraces challenges and new skills, is proactive, and has exceptional attention to detail. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting department while providing quality service to internal and external clients.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Supervise, motivate, and train the accounting staff
Analyze and review financial statements
Review and approve journal entries, AP, and general ledger reconciliations
Perform ad hoc analysis
Manage the chart of accounts
Prepare monthly and quarterly regulatory reports
Establish and enforce accounting policies
Assist external/internal auditors
Improve accounting processes to increase department efficiencies
Assist with software implementations
Assist accounting team members and the VP of Accounting when necessary
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting and 2 years as a people manager
Intermediate to advanced excel skills
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of GAAP
A team player with a growth mindset who is organized, dependable, and adaptable
Working Conditions:
Equipment for remote work will be provided.
Willing to travel to headquarters in Seattle, WA, as needed.
Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.
The nature of work may include prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
