Accounting Manager

One of our clients is looking for a dedicated and experienced Controller to oversee/assist with their financial operations and support their accounting team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes while adhering to all relevant regulations. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to driving financial success.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
2. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of skilled accountants, fostering their professional development and growth.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to create budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against targets.
4. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
5. Audit Support: Coordinate and manage external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
6. Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and internal controls for efficiency and accuracy.
7. Financial Analysis: Provide insights and analysis on financial performance to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting and financial management, with a track record of success in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Supply Chain / Logistics Experience preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
