Accounting Manager

Detailed Description:

The incumbent will be a key member of the NCS Global Finance Team who will perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Prepares and interprets monthly and quarterly financial statements for internal and external reporting purposes; makes recommendations to management based on analysis
• Prepares/reviews financial information with detailed analysis of variances to forecast and plan identifying areas of financial concern requiring action.
• Prepares/reviews reconciliations of customer / vendor AR/AP; communication with customer/vendor on settlements
• Ensures financial controls are in place to properly record transactions in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensures provisions and other accounting processes are in accordance with corporate policies.
• Interface with auditors and other external contacts on area of responsibility.
• Responsible to standardize accounting processes and implement best practices to ensure procedures are as efficient and effective as possible.

Experience:

• Five to Seven years relevant experience; preferably in technology services/logistics industries.
• QuickBooks experience an asset

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce/finance, or equivalent.
• Accounting designation preferred
