Accounting Manager

Role Description

Ascen is looking for a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team during this exciting period of growth. The Accounting Manager will manage all aspects of accounting, budgeting, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll. This role requires a strategic thinker who can dive into the details to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations and take on increasing responsibility as the company continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all general accounting duties, including accounts receivable/payable, and payroll.
• Prepare financial statements and reporting; develop and implement budgets and financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with tax and accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage both the internal finance team and service providers.
• Collaborate closely with team members across different functions to problem solve and deliver best-in-industry service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressively senior finance and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other accounting software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• CPA certification and/or assurance experience (Big 4 or similar) is a plus.
• Experience in a fast-growing startup is a plus.
• Experience in staffing/PEO/payroll is not required but is an advantage.
