We are looking for a motivated and skilled Summer Accounting Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks while contributing to our daily accounting operations. Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
Accurately type, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records.
Assist in reconciling accounts in a timely manner.
Daily data entry of financial transactions into our database.
Support company personnel with various accounting-related tasks.
Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
Inform management and compile reports/summaries on specific activity areas.
Adhere to established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative
Able to meet deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
Proficient with MS Word and Excel, Outlook experience desired
Knowledge of business office procedures
Basic mathematical skills
Basic knowledge of accounting and financial principles
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks efficiently.
Good data entry and word processing skills.
Well-organized with strong technical and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment.
High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with accounting software programs (e.g., Procas).
Previous internship or related experience in accounting or finance.
