The Accounting Associate will support the efficient operation of the company by assisting with a wide range of administrative and accounting functions, to include financial analysis and support as required.
Prepares, records, verifies, analyzes and reports accounts payable/receivable transactions. Pays vendor invoices and receives and posts customer payments on a timely basis. Maintains and reconciles accounts payable/receivable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports. Prepares analyses and reconciliations of bill runs to detect fraud. Follows transaction entry verification procedures.
Responsibilities:
The Accounting Associate will apply the following six-step workflow each month and ensure records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and DCAA compliance:
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Accounting Software
Experience with DCAA, FAR, and GOVCON accounting principles and requirements
Ability to independently execute the responsibilities in this posting.
