Accounting Associate

Brown & Brown has an exciting opportunity available for an Accounting Associate supporting our Plano, TX team!

The Accounting Associate will provide administrative support to the Senior Financial Business Partner by completing a variety of tasks relating to the Finance & Accounting needs of the profit center.

This is a hybrid / hourly position.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Run standardized reporting – to include Account Receivables and Value-Added Trending
• Assist on Book of Business (Sales) Reporting
• Auditing and data entry corrections – to include AMS invoices and BAM Splits
• Researching and working with team (Benefits Consultants/Analysts) on Accounts Receivable issues
• Support with commission statements and policy entries
• Other duties may be assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics and/or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years experience in a similar role
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Microsoft Excel – Strong level skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgement
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting financial requirements
