Accounting Analyst
Position: Accounting Analyst
Location: Miami, Florida
Salary: Up to $100,000
Are you ready to take on a vital role in a fast-paced industry? As an integral part of the accounting team, you will handle various essential financial tasks, from cash management to fixed assets and purchase orders, all contributing to our month-end closing duties.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare bank reconciliations.
- Manage and record monthly recurring closing entries and expense accruals, including expense allocations to jobs.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including Receivables, Prepaids, Credit Cards, Accounts Payable, and Accrued Liabilities.
- Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset sub-ledgers, including Additions, Disposals, and Depreciation.
- Reconcile monthly Materials Sales load-out system.
- Review/Approve requisitions and process Purchase Orders.
- Review financial statements to identify issues or missing entries and investigate/resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee accounting functions such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables.
- Look over current accounting processes and recommend improvements or new automated procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local tax forms, including payroll taxes, fuel tax, sales and use tax, and 1099s.
- Assist with job cost analysis.
- File monthly industry-specific contracts and reports.
- Analyze and summarize account information and identify trends as needed.
- Coordinate activities with external auditors.
- Perform job analytics on a monthly basis and liaise with Operations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Bilingual abilities (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with various internal departments and working in a team environment.
- Onsite 5 days per week.
- A motivated, self-starter attitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proactivity in identifying accounting issues and proposing solutions.
- The ability to analyze complex financial information.
- Strong multitasking abilities to meet deadlines.
- Experience with financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- A BacBachelor'sgree in Accounting (preferred).
- Data analytics experience (a plus).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
