SiloSmashers Accountant/ Financial Analyst provides support and thought leadership to the Director of Contracts and Finance and CFO in the areas of Accounting and Finance.


Provides support and oversees the Accounting Assistant.


Minimum Qualifications:


Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on related accounting experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (i.e., Pivot tables & Core functions). Experience with the Unanet accounting system is strongly desired.


Responsibilities:


Finance and Accounting

• Create monthly journal entries

• Complete the monthly bank reconciliations

• Balance Sheet Reconciliations in support of month-end close

• Analyze monthly financials and prepare the monthly Financial Reporting Packet for review with CFO and CEO

• Assist with developing and managing the corporate operating budget

• Review budget-to-actual data with budget owners on a monthly basis in support of monthly reforecasting

• Assist with annual tax filings (such as 1099s, BPOL and Personal Property Tax returns)

• Assist with preparation of requested documentation for external auditors

• Assist with company license renewals

• Assist with importing credit card expense for expense report preparation

• 401k analysis, 5500 compliance and audit support

• GSA IFF sales reporting and payment

• Review schedules, transaction postings and analyses as needed

• Periodic review and update to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) to support optimal internal controls


Oversee Accounting Assistant’s activities to include:


• Manage employee time sheet compliance

• Subcontract T&E Management, W-9s and Certificates Of Insurance

• Manage the A/P email box and workflow

• Manage New User set up in Unanet
