Duties

Summary

You will serve as a senior accountant in the Accounting and Financial Analysis Division and will be responsible for leading, performing, and integrating a variety of professional accounting duties and financial management initiatives. Duties will include coordination and oversight of reporting, reconciliation, and internal control work requirements for Glenn Research Center (GRC) and NASA.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. GS-13: To qualify at the GS-13 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Developing, monitoring, or executing financial policies and internal controls; Performing accounting practices, procedures, and/or internal controls related to functions, such as internal or external financial reporting, property, accounts payable, travel, payroll, cost accruals, and reimbursable activity; and Utilizing accounting systems and policies to manage financial information. GS-14: To qualify at the GS-14 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Applying analytical techniques to identify and resolve complex accounting and systems issues; Working with senior level managers and external stakeholders to address and resolve financial management issues; and Overseeing or evaluating accounting functions, such as internal or external financial reporting, financial statement preparation, property, accounts payable, travel, payroll, cost accruals, and reimbursable activity.
